Privacy policy
This policy says what Femtobytes collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Membership status: which plan you hold and when it renews. Your card details go directly to our payment partner; we never see or store them.
- Problems solved: which problem types and numbers are solved, so we can decide what to build next. If you are signed in this is linked to your account.
- Technical logs: standard server logs (IP address, browser, time) kept for security and to find faults, deleted after 30 days.
- Newsletter: your email address, only if you ask to join.
Cookies
We use two cookies, both strictly necessary: one keeps you signed in, one protects forms against forgery. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. When you open the checkout, our payment partner may set its own cookies to process your payment and prevent fraud.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run the site: our payment partner (to take payment), our email provider (to send account emails) and our hosting provider (where the site runs). We do not sell personal data to anyone.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it. Write to info@femtobytes.com from the address on your account and we will act within 30 days.
Keeping data
We keep account data while your account exists. Records of payments are kept as long as tax law requires.
Changes and contact
We will post any change to this policy here and update the date above. Questions: info@femtobytes.com.
